About Caves d’Alignan Du Vent Neffiès: Situated in the village of Neffiès, the Cave d’Alignan du Vent is a co-operative of 300 wine growers who cultivate some of the most diverse vineyards in southern France. Description: Award winning Chardonnay from the Languedoc. Golden colour, subtly wooden nose with crystallised fruit notes and aromas of Brioche, toffee and butter. The mouth is rich and aromatic with a persistent creaminess. Despite its roundness, the wine shows a surprising freshness.
What the press says:
“The easy going nature of this Chardonnay would lend nicely to a rich casual dish such as macaroni cheese. The weight and creaminess of the pasta works well with the Chardonnay’s solid acidity and highly subtle oak character to compliment the unctuous cheese” Cathal McBride, Sunday Business Post
“Voluptuous ripe exotic fruit overlaid with vanilla and spice. Sserve with roast butternut squash, turbot or chicken in a creamy sauce.” John Wilson, The Irish Times
