About Chateau Doisy-Vedrines is located on the clay-limestone rise in Haut Barsac, and is a renowned producer of Semillon-Sauvignon Blanc sweet wines. Classified as a Grand Cru Classe Second Growth in the 1855 classification, the estate was part of the larger Doisy estate before being broken up in the early 1850`s. The soil is ploughed in the traditional way and the grapes are hand-picked in several waves throughout harvest. The Chateau has 35 hectres under vine and is planted with 80% Semillon, 15% Sauvignon and 5% Muscadelle.
Sauternes is the world’s most celebrated dessert wine and Doisy Védrines is one of the best. Despite lying next door to Premiers Crus Châteaux Climens and Coutet, it remains under the radar.

Petit Védrines is a dream sweet wine from this fine 2ème Cru Classé, Doisy Védrines. The property has been in the Castéja family since 1840.
