About Château de Gaure : Pierre Fabre represents the 5th generation of a family of winegrowers and returned to his roots by purchasing a property in 2004, Château de Gaure. With the support of renowned penologist Marc Bertrand, they both introduced the Gaure range of wines to the Languedoc, which quickly received awards fro “La Revue des vins de France”
Pierre Fabre has chosen to stop using chemicals, in order to produce natural grapes of the highest quality, and the range is now in organic conversion.
Pierre Fabre creates typical wines with supple and velvety tannins to please wine lovers, constantly seeking the right balance between nature and terroir.
Winemaking : The harvests are manual, the grapes are transported in 15kg boxe3s to the cellar before sorting and pressing. The alcoholic fermentation starts with indigenous yeast in 400 str barrels and in 12 to 30n hl tuns, followed by malolactic fermentation. The period of maturation on the lees is punctuated by regular stirring of the lees and topping up.
Description : 70% Chardonnay & 30% Chenin Blanc.Brilliant golden tints of aromas of small fruit with white flesh and hawthorn. A very round wine in the mouth with a fresh, long finish.
ABV : 14%
