About Rutini wines : Rutini Wines has 400 hectares of vineyards at altitudes ranging between 1,050 and 1,200 meters above sea level. The viticulture team strives to grow grapes of the highest quality. To that end, they limit the vines production, employ an excellent irrigation system, and allow the fruit to reach the optimal level of ripeness before harvesting.
About the winemaker : Mariano Di Paola, a key figure in the Argentine wine industry, has been the leading winemaker at Rutini Wines since 1993. With more than 30 years in the market, he was highlighted by the British magazine Decanter as one of the 30 best winemakers in the world. He’s passionate about the vines, enjoys walks in the vineyard where every year he is immersed in the harvesting. His work focuses on achieving sophisticated wines, original design and format.
Ageing : 30% New American oak, 30% New French Oak and 40% 2nd and 3rd use American oak barrels for 7 months.
Vineyard : Tupungato, Mendoza
Description : Trumpeter Malbec is dense, with an inky colour and attractive cherry aromas with a touch of cinnamon and sweet spice. A fruity wine with excellent body, intense tannins and flavours of cherry, blackberry and plum intermingled with hints of cardamon and pepper. Prolongued mouth filling finish.
