About Château Chasse Spleen: Located in the Moulis appellation, in the heart of the Médoc, Château Chasse-Spleen was founded in 1720. Its name “Chasse-Spleen,” acquired in 1863, is inspired by Anglo-Saxon culture and Baudelaire. The estate has been managed since 2000 by Céline Villars. Château Chasse-Spleen boasts a beautiful terroir on a gravelly outcropping in the Grand Poujeaux area.
Description: 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Château Chasse-Spleen 2019 offers a subtle vanilla nose with deep aromas of cherries, blackberries and blackcurrant, also revealing withered rose petals.
