About Domaine Jean Sipp: Domaine Jean Sipp is located in the heart of Ribeauvillé, in the upper town, in a former stately home, dating from 1416.
Jean-Guillaume Sipp is officially the head of the Domain since 2014. After his training at the Lycée Agricole in Rouffach, he followed courses with many winemakers including Domaines Zind-Humbrecht in Alsace, Olivier Leflaive in Burgundy, Marcel Guigal in Ampuis in the Rhône and the Domaine Mont-Redon in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. He has also approached other New World vineyards, such as Chile, Argentina, South Africa and New Zealand.
Under his leadership, the tillage is even more advanced than before and the wines have gained in precision. The family has a wide choice of terroirs, located in five municipalities, with the three Grand Cru Kirchberg, Osterberg and Altenberg of Bergheim as florets.
For more than twenty years, production approach has been to be closer to the nature.
2018 is the year when the Estate has gone into Organic conversion.
